With reference to your Communications of the 31st Jant last. I have it in command to acquaint You, for the information of Earl Grey, that the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury having had under consideration the despatches from the Governor of Hong Kong therein forwarded to them, with the accompanying Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure of that Settlement for the current Year, have not seen reason to dissent from Lord Grey's proposition in regard to the amount of Vote for the Service of the new Merivale Settlement
